What we do

In Toms River, New Jersey, the St. Luke Conference witnesses to God’s love by providing financial assistance to those in need and operating a food pantry.   Homelessness is a problem in Ocean County, however, the nearest full-time shelter is the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. A solution to this problem is beyond the resources of our conference, however, we do provide short term assistance to homeless persons while they apply for county and state assistance.

The resources to do all of these things are provided by almost 200 volunteers and the generosity of the people of St. Luke’s Parish and our other benefactors.

For those in need of financial assistance, please contact us at (732) 244-3916. Calls will be returned promptly.

The Food Pantry distributes food to those in need within our parish boundaries, regardless of religious affiliation, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10AM to 12:45PM.   Please bring current identification and proof of residence.

The St. Luke Conference holds it’s monthly General Meeting on the third Thursday of the month. (June & July meetimgs combined) For those interested in the Society and its work, please join us in the Parish Center for fellowship followed by our meeting.
