Fundraising

A major source of funds for the conference are the contributions received in the White Envelopes found in the pews.   The St. Luke parishioners are most generous.   Father Bob gives the conference the proceeds from the collections at the Ash Wednesday services.   The conference has also received grants from the Trenton Diocese, Ocean First, Shop-Rite and the Monmouth/Ocean Food Bank.  We have also received Federal grants for a commercial refrigerator and a freezer.

Two or three times a year, the conference sponsors events to raise money.  Last year we had one bus trip to Bethlehem, PA , a Walk for the Poor and a Golf Tournament.

Last year several small fund raisers raised enough money to buy a backup electric generator to protect our refrigerated and frozen food against loss in a power outage.
